Finding convenient, affordable COVID-19 testing continues to be a concern for most of our clients.
This morning, I had a great experience with free COVID-19 testing offered by the Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) at mobile sites throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area. This testing is available to everyone, with or without symptoms, either as a drive-through or a walk-up service. To locate a testing site and to pre-register (recommended), click on COREresponse.org and select the county that will be most convenient for your testing.
Another easy-to-navigate site that can help you find testing locations is hhs.gov/coronavirus/community-based-testing-sites. This site includes a variety of testing options at local pharmacies, Walmart, Kroger, and community health centers.
These links can help with your search for a testing site that is right for you. We remind you, though, unless the testing is truly free (no insurance card required), log in to your carrier’s member portal or contact Member Services before getting your test to confirm that it will be fully covered!
